Overview
These flange mounted, high performance rotary potentiometers are designed for the most demanding control and measurement applications. They are used widely in motorsport data acquisition systems for monitoring suspension movement, steering angle, throttle and gear position. The sensors 'low force' multi-fingered electrical contacts (as opposed to a 'high force' single contact) are ideal where the measurement application experiences severe vibration in one position for long periods i.e. at full throttle or in top gear. They are designed using the latest F1 thick track technology ensuring that a string, stable output is given at all times.
The sensor housings are specially designed for the easy fitting of an optional shrink down boot for additional cable protection. These rotary potentiometers are available with a choice of sensor housing material, electrical measurement angles and shaft-mounting options. The sensors convert angular movement into a proportional voltage output using a simple 3-wire, low current operating circuit.
