Brake master cylinder position sensors

Description

The master cylinder converts the motion of the brake pedal into a hydraulic pressure that is used to operate brake calliper movement. It consists of the reservoir, which contains the brake fluid, and the piston and cylinder that generate the hydraulic pressure. Traditionally, racecars use two master cylinders that are side by side being applied at the same time (dual). This creates two separate hydraulic braking circuits. If one of the circuits becomes inoperative, the other circuit can still function to stop the racecar. Race engineers monitor master cylinder movement during racing to assist the driver in making brake balance adjustment based on car performance in ever-changing tyre and track conditions.

For bespoke applications we offer a comprehensive design, manufacture and speedy delivery service to satisfy the fast paced engineering developments associated with international motorsport.

MLS Linear potentiometers

The Motorsport Linear Sensor (MLS) 'super' low-noise linear potentiometer designed for suspension measurement in motorsport data acquisition systems. The new 'long-life' sensor ensures a longer 'noise-free' operating life in severe vibration and high G-force conditions.0Vdc supply and have outpit options of 0.5V to 4.5V, serial CAN 2.0 or RS485.

Linear Hall-Effect sensors

Hall Effect linear sensors are designed to provide cost effective position measurement utilising proven contactless Hall Effect technology. They operate from a 5Vdc or 6-30Vdc supply and have outpit options of 0.5V to 4.5V, serial CAN 2.0 or RS485.
