GET DATA LOGGERS SPECIFY ACTIVE SENSORS!

GET is an easy to use, electronic data acquisition system with a difference. Marketed by Italian company Athena Evolution s.r.l. (www.getdata.it), their loggers, dashboards and video-recorders are all equipped with the latest GPS technologies so the exact position of the vehicle can be pinpointed wherever it is on track with all required data recorded for easy analysis. It is also the first system that has been designed specifically for motorcycles although to date it has been used successfully to collect data in many forms of motorsports including Track motorbikes, Motocross, jet ski racing, karting, track and rally cars. GET products are designed to take a range of sensors and Athena Evolution approached Active Sensors as an expert in the field of position measurement, to supply devices to collect information regarding suspension (CLS1322 and CLS1922 linear potentiometers) and steering wheel position (RP5110 rotary potentiometer). Motocross suspension is a particularly demanding application due to the fact that, as well as being extremely muddy, the suspension compresses at a rate of 10m per second following the rider landing a jump. For this reason, it was essential to provide a product that was robust enough to cope with such a punishing application. The CLS19 was specified because of its thicker, stronger shaft and it’s smooth operation ensuring that the sensor was able to operate faultlessly at the same speed as the application.
