Active Sensors introduce pioneering 'long-life' Hall Effect contactless linear position sensor with 'world-beating' 200mm (8") measurement range!

Active Sensors, the designer and manufacturer of advanced position sensing solutions has launched their latest product innovation, the LH1314 Hall-Effect linear sensor which has a ‘pioneering’ 200mm
The ‘long-life’ LH1314 sensor is slim-bodied, lightweight and compact in design and requires no signal conditioning circuits for operation. The sensor comprises two parts, a sealed sensing circuit and a magnetic activator. There is no electrical contact between the two parts (contactless), therefore the sensor provides a versatile ‘long-life’ sensing solution for a variety of industrial, motorsport and marine applications that experience severe shock and vibration, or suffer from fluid and debris contamination.
The LH1314 sensor operates from a 5V regulated or 8-30V unregulated supply and has built-in over voltage and reverse polarity protection. The output signal over the measurement range is 0V - 5.0V with an independent linearity of 0.5%. Mounting options including spherical rod-end bearings or body clamps. The customer specifies the sensors signal output range when ordering (in 25mm increments).
Continuous product development means that in early 2012, Active Sensors will be launching the LH Linear Hall-Effect position sensor with a measurement range up to 1000mm (40")
