Description
The PLS is a technology first 'contactless' ultra-slim sealed linear position sensor with built-in electronics that operates simply like a linear potentiometer. The PLS is ideal for projects needing a competitively priced, accurate and reliable 'contactless' linear measurement device The sensor dispenses with the need for costly and complex additional signal conditioning circuits. This innovative sensor (patent pending) is available in a 9.54mm Ø or robust 19.0mm Ø housing and has multiple mounting options. The measurement range is from 50mm (2") to 1000mm (40") and it operates from a 6 to 30Vdc unregulated supply. The output signal options are analogue 0.5Vdc to 4.5Vdc. The sensor housing is sealed to IP66 and is fitted with fire & chemical resistant Raychem cabling. The integral electronics and electrical connections are fully encapsulated for complete signal integrity. The operating temperature is 125°C and every sensor is heat cycled prior to final calibration to ensure output signal stability when operated at elevated temperatures.
