Overview
The PLS1920 is a technology first ‘contactless’ robust linear position sensor with built-in electronics that operates simply like a linear potentiometer. The PLS is ideal for projects needing a competitively priced, accurate and reliable ‘contactless’ linear measurement device The sensor dispenses with the need for costly and complex additional signal conditioning circuits. This innovative sensor (patent applied) has a choice of mounting options and a measurement range from 250mm (10") to 1000mm (40"). It operates from a 6 to 30Vdc unregulated supply and the output signal options are analogue 0.5 to 4.5Vdc. The sensor is fitted with fire and chemical resistant Raychem cabling as standard and has fully encapsulated sealed internal electronics and electrical connections for complete signal integrity. Applications include flight simulator motion platforms, steel and aluminium manufacturing plants and power station monitoring systems.
