Description
Active Sensors contactless LH100 linear Hall-Effect sensor has been specifically designed to provide precision linear measurements utilising industry proven Hall-Effect technology. The robust design, driven by customer demands for smaller, more accurate sensing devices, provides a sensor comprising two parts: the sensing module and magnetic actuator. When the actuator is moved linearly at the face of the module, the circuit accurately measures up to 28mm of linear position. There is no electrical contact between the module and the actuator (contactless), which makes it ideal for systems that are subjected to fluid and debris contamination. Additionally, the fully encapsulated sensing circuit makes the sensor ideal for use in extreme environments that suffer severve shock and vibration.
The LH100 operates from either a 5Vdc regulated or 6 to 30Vdc unregulated supply and has built-in over voltage and reverse polarity protection. The output signal is 0.5V - 4.5V with a 12-bit resolution (0.025%) and the operating temperature is 130°C, with excursions permissible to 150°C. Every LH sensor is heat cycled (thermally tested) prior to final calibration to ensure performance stability over its operational life.
