The DC/DC LVDT series are a linear variable transformer (LVT) contactless position sensor, which are offered with either an integral or separate signal conditioning electronics depending on the temperature or installation environment. The sensor’s precision wound inductive coils enable an improved temperature performance, (low thermal drift, which is typically <±0.01% FS/°C), compared to similar inductive products. The signal electronics and sensor electrical connections are fully encapsulated as standard, providing the necessary environmental protection to provide a stable electrical output under severe vibration, acceleration, mechanical and thermal shock. The sensor is available in either a slim Ø9.53mm or Ø12.70mm (1/2″) case with mounting options of body clamp, flange or rod-end bearings. It operates from a +5Vdc regulated or +6 to +36Vdc unregulated supply with an output signal of +0.5Vdc to +4.5Vdc over the measurement range of 10mm to 200mm (0.4″ to 8″).
The XLS0950 Series is a compact, long life contactless position sensor, which is designed for use in severe vibration and high cyclic conditions. Mounting options include body clamp, flange or spherical rod-end bearings. They operate from a +5Vdc regulated or +6 to +36Vdc unregulated supply with an output signal of +0.5Vdc to +4.5Vdc over the measurement range.
The XLS1300 Series is a long life contactless position sensor, which is designed for use in severe vibration and high cyclic conditions. Constructed with a robust Ø12.70mm stainless steel case, it is available with either built-in electronics or a separate compact signal-conditioning unit. Mounting options include body clamp, or spherical rod-end bearings. They operate from either a +5Vdc regulated or +6 to +36Vdc unregulated supply with an output signal of +0.5Vdc to +4.5Vdc over the measurement range.
